Installation of free float handguards. This shop service is limited in scope and the customer must contact us beforehand. We must ensure the gas block will fit inside the handguard. Handguard is aligned with flattop upper receiver using precision jigs.
We have custom bench mounted tooling which completely immobilizes the upper from twisting. The barrel index pin is also immobilized during this process. No bending or twisting of upper receivers. This process leaves no marks on the parts.
Colt OEM moly grease is used on the barrel nut threads. Torqued to proper specification with proper gas tube alignment using custom gages.
Gas block must be OEM match drilled to the barrel before sending them to us. We will only install barrels with the following cross-pinned gas blocks:
Daniel Defense barrel with its matching low profile gas block
Noveske barrel with its matching low profile gas block
Geissele barrel with its matching low profile gas block
BRT barrel with its matching low profile gas block
Centurion Arms barrel with its matching low profile gas block
Colt with doubled pinned OEM2 style gas block. These will only be installed with a Geissele or Daniel Defense RISII or RISIII handguard. These are the only handguards which have enough clearance to accommodate the double pinned Colt gas block.
We have custom made barrel nut wrenches and will only install the following handguards:
Noveske NSR
SWS (Superior Weapon System) both A and B barrel nuts must be provided for test fitting
All Geissele handguards
Daniel Defense RIS II and RIS III handguards
Shop service includes return shipping of your upper. We will not do any installation which uses a gas block attached via screws.
